Overview

Nestled in the charming town of Creston, British Columbia, The Mountain Barn stands out as a cozy coffee shop that blends rustic charm with exceptional culinary offerings. Situated at 2706 BC-3A, it invites visitors to experience a serene country atmosphere paired with a menu that marries European influences and local flavors.

Known primarily for its exceptional cinnamon rolls and hearty borscht, The Mountain Barn also offers an enticing range of hot drinks like Lavender Matcha, Pumpkin spice, and the uniquely comforting Lavender London Fog. Their specialty brews, including Breve and Latte, showcase a deep respect for quality coffee, making each cup a ritual rather than a mere caffeine fix.

The Mountain Barn’s appeal isn’t limited to drinks alone. Ice cream lovers will find satisfaction in classic and creative flavors such as Vanilla, Mango, and Raspberry Cheesecake. These add an unexpected, delightful contrast to the otherwise warm, home-style menu.

Regular patrons rave about the light, handcrafted donuts that carry a distinctly European flair—far from the overly sweet fare typical of large chains. Reviews consistently praise the donuts for their delicate texture and rich flavor, highlighting them as a signature treat worth seeking out. The iced latte and coffee options serve as perfect companions, achieving a harmonious balance in both taste and presentation.

The experience is enhanced by a spacious, rustic environment that feels simultaneously elegant and welcoming. Outdoor seating complements the peaceful rural setting, offering a place to relax. Friendly, attentive staff contribute to a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. For those on the go, a convenient drive-through adds a modern touch without sacrificing quality.

What truly sets The Mountain Barn apart is the interplay of quality, taste, and ambiance. It perfectly fits those looking to escape the bustle and immerse themselves in a slower, more thoughtful pace. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado, a lover of well-crafted pastries, or someone seeking a hearty bowl of traditional borscht, this coffee shop delivers a memorable experience.

In essence, The Mountain Barn is more than a place to grab a quick drink or snack. It’s a community gem where food and drink are crafted with care and served with genuine hospitality. If you find yourself in Creston, don’t miss the chance to indulge in their renowned cinnamon rolls, sip on a Lavender Matcha latte, or simply soak in the rustic ambiance that continually impresses visitors and locals alike.

Bought a dozen donuts because they were so good. Very light, tasty, homemade style deep-fried donuts. Very European in style and flavour, not ridiculously sweet like Tim Horton ( though I would say their donuts were never good). Also tried an iced latte and thought it was good. Excellent rustic ambiance to the place, friendly staff, and has a drive through. So good I’m going there tomorrow and buying another dozen donuts

Pies are to die for, excellent coffee, the bathroom was so nice I took a picture of it. Has a custom made sink. Only down side to this place is that it is soo good there is usually a big line and a wait time, but the high quality food is worth the wait.

I literally do not even have the words to express how delicious the donuts are. The basic glazed donut is the best I have EVER had in my life. How do you make a sandwich that good? It is quite simply a basic sandwich but again, the best I have ever had. What an absolute gem of a business. Everyone working there is kind as well. 10 stars!!!!
